Report and block a phishing email in Outlook

When an email looks suspicious, report it and block its sender when appropriate.

Report phishing

Right-click the message, choose Report, then Report phishing or Report junk. Confirm the report.

Block a sender

Right-click the message, choose Block, then Block sender.

Good practice

Email filtering solutions can reduce unwanted messages, but user vigilance remains essential. For a malicious email, report it first and then block the sender.
